After being introduced to the High Elves through a lengthy 10 minute gameplay demonstration earlier this week, we're to see their darkened brethren through more personal means.
Set loose in a new in-engine trailer, the unveiling of the Dark Elves of Naggaroth push us closer to the official reveal of Total War: Warhammer II's fourth and final launch race. It's the Skaven. Of course it's the Skaven.
Though it may be Morathi attempting to pull the strings of the blackened hearts of the Dark Elves, it's her son, Malekith, that strikes fear into their enemies. Taking to the battlefield, the Witch King and his army demonstrate the rapid razing of their enemy's defence, he has his sights set on a far grander prize than his dear mother.
Total War: Warhammer 2 Gameplay, Races, Campaign - Everything We Know
We're not looking at direct gameplay here, but the trailer down below is representative of the Total War: Warhammer 2 engine. Showing a far more cinematic scene than what you're likely to witness when controlling battlefield, it's a worthy way to see what makes up the Dark Elf race - though some gameplay to coincide with the High Elf video from earlier this week would be nice.
Launching on September 28, Total War: Warhammer II is quickly turning into a question of 'Which race will you play?' Perhaps you had your eyes set on one from the start, but was convinced by another further down the line. Maybe capturing the Great Vortex through sheer destructive force is your thing. If so, the Dark Elves and their 'Murderous Prowess' may be what you'll holding out for.
