PDXCON 2017 is set to be a slightly different affair than its predecessors. Similar to this year’s E3, Paradox have decided to swing the doors open to the public for the first time to their traditionally industry only event. The convention is set to take play in May and tickets are already on sale.
The publisher’s steadily-growing portfolio includes firmly established PC franchises such as the critically acclaimed Europa Universalis, Cities: Skylines, Crusader Kings, Magicka and the Hearts of Iron series. CEO Frank Wester said “tanks!” to all those who have already expressed interest in going to the convention and he wants this year to be the convention’s biggest celebration centring on the games and communities that play them.
Paradox themselves said “This year we are opening the convention for both fans AND press, for a 3-day celebration of all things Paradox. In order to celebrate the occasion we though to do something a little ‘different’…We present to you: The Legendary Split:”
Already announced for the convention, which will take place in Stockholm over the 12th-14th of May, are a Cosplay competition, special guests from the modding community, a whole host of guest speakers including the developers behind some of Paradox’s most beloved games. Tickets for the event are available here and fans can also register their interest on the official Facebook page.
