UPDATE #2
We have the full trailer! You can see that below. Plus, we've got an interview with Fatshark CEO Martin Wahland and Designer Mats Andersson on Vermintide 2! We chat community feedback, the Heroic Deeds system, Mod Support, Career Progression, and... the influence of Left 4 Dead!
UPDATE #1
The Twitch reveal is still going on, but we had to share the best information with you first. Vermintide 2 won't just feature the rat creatures the Skaven like in the first game, it will also feature the demonic forces of Chaos as enemies too, with a more brute force approach to attack rather than the hordes of rats players faced in the last game.
Perhaps most excitingly, Fatshark have listened to player feedback and added both Mod Support and Dedicated Server Functionality to the game. We can confirm that Mod Support includes Steam Workshop support.
The new location is the town of Helmgart, on the Bretonnian border of the Empire. There will be 15 career paths to choose from so you can customize your favourite Hero however you want, as well as new loot and a Heroic Deeds system that adds special optional challenges to the game.
We'll have more on the game, including an interview with Fatshark, as it happens.
Original Story
The sequel to Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide will be revealed properly by live stream on Twitch today at 19:00 CEST / 18:00 BST / 17:00 UTC / 13:00 ET / 10:00 PT! And you can watch it all below along with your pals at GameWatcher!
The Best Multiplayer Horror Games on PC!
Death on the Reik announced for Vermintide, and it's not the game's last DLC!
We personally loved the first game, which can basically described as Left 4 Dead in the Warhammer universe with more of a melee and Class focus, but still just as enjoyable. And remember - there hasn't been a new Left 4 Dead in years, so a fantasy current-gen version is welcome.
We're hoping the sequel builds on that promise and makes an even more exciting sequel than Left 4 Dead 2. The first game sold around 1.5 million units so Fatshark know they're on to a winner, and it's been well-regarded by the community so hopefully all the feedback will be listened to. We called the first game "a serious contender for the best multiplayer experience of the year", so anything less than that won't be accepted!
You can watch the Live Stream and the Live Chat below or visit their Twitch page directly. We'll have a lot more details after the stream, including a full interview with the developers!
