You'd be naive to think that most game developers focus themselves on one game at a time. When design meanings take place, there's likely a couple of ideas floating around that sit well with the team. Naming those games, though? That's the tricky part.
Fatshark (the folks behind Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide) have been working on something else in secret; likely for a while, too. It might not be in the later stages of development, but it sounds like they'll want to announce its true existance soon. But they need a little help.
Much like Remedy Games announced yesterday, they're working on something - but the only thing we have to go off is a codename that does nothing when it comes to having a good guess as to what the game could be about. They're working on something simply called 'P7' while Fatshark are working on '0610' which is, apparently non-coincidentally, the area code for Boden - where two of their staff members reside.
So, for now, that's all we'll likely know for a little while longer. While you'd usually expect a game's title to reflect its premise and structured story, Fatshark are telling us nothing and then asking for fans to name the game themselves. Writer's block, perhaps? While Boaty McBoatFace didn't quite manage to stick in a similar situation, there's every chance for a second-coming - though highely unlikely. The team is looking for a 'great' name. Land on the sweet spot and you'll nab yourself a boatload of Fatshark merch and their PC game catalogue. Not a bad deal.
They're not ruling out the idea that this new game could be a sequel to their current IP - think Lead and Gold or War of the Roses; but they're not ruling out that it could be something 100% new, either. There's a lot of food for though, and you're directed to vent those thoughts over here.
