Back for another year, Amplitude Studios laid out the plans for their annual 'Endless Day' - a celebration that, sadly for those at the studio, does have a morning after.
Aimed an unifying and celebrated all the Studio and its playerbase has achieved through their ongoing creations within the 'Endless' series of video games, Amplitude Studios spend the day announcing new content and drinking beers with the players who invite themselves over to their building in the heart of France.
But while it's too late to head on over for a drink and a chat, it isn't too late to familiarize yourself with all that's new in the world of the Endless. The second major update for the Endless Space 2 Early Access build brings the Horatio - a whole new major faction in their 4X sequel alongside an overhauled tech tree and all the changes you'd expect to come from your ongoing feedback.

Though still technically not an endless day, Endless Day does go on for more than a single 24 hour period. Part 1 may be done and dusted (there's a reference), but there's still plenty more going on until January 25. The Endless catalog of games are discounted on Steam until January 23 with key giveaways going on through the team's Twitter account through January 20 with the major winner announced on Monday. Starting Saturday, however, rare achievements only available during these yearly events can be earned in Endless Legend, Dungeon of the Endless and Endless Space.
And there you have it! While the main page for the event lists the termination of the unlockable achievements on Monday 25, you'll notice the dates don't match up. But Endless Day officially ends on the January 25, so we'll assume Wednesday is the closing of the curtain on that specific area.
