Neocore games’ latest entry into the ARPG market comes in the form of a Warhammer 40,000 game. The developers behind the successful Adventures of Van Helsing series have just released a founders program for Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor - Martyr, giving paid access to the games alpha to dedicated fans for testing.
Inquisitor will be the first ever action-RPG to use the Warhammer 40,000 IP. In the game, players take the role of an Inquisitor, one of humanity’s powerful secret police, who acts with the highest authority and serves as judge, jury and executioner for the empire. The game is set to feature a main story and multiple side quest campaigns that will be affected by the community in a persistent online world.
The project is certainly an ambitious one and is set to feature random generation, a large open world, 4 player co-op and an in-depth progression system. We got our hands on the early alpha and put it through it’s paces to see what kind of potential the game ultimately has. Please note that the footage is early alpha, is not feature complete and everything is subject to change.
