If you remember picking up and playing a certain Mars survival sim by the name of The Red Solstice back in 2015, you're perhaps wondering where that sequel has gone off to.
After securing the necessary funding and plodding along just fine, Solstice Chronicles: MIA is officially set to make a July 26 debut.
As you'd expect of any game that gets its release date news so close to its actual release, a new trailer is inbound that's got all the dark, shooty action you'd want from a game that many will likely compare to another interactive version of Aliens. You're on a distant planet (Mars, in this case) with hordes of alien lifeforms wanting to rip off your legs and feed them to creepy alien children - presumably. What happened to a good ol' probe, anyway?
All jokes aside, Solstice Chronicles: MIA retains the deep, tactical requirements of its predecessor as a twin-stick shooter, you'll be expended to make good use of numerous skill trees and a rather talkative drone to ensure your little trip to Mars doesn't end prematurely. And those beasts are only going to get bigger as they deem you more of a threat.
Solstice Chronicles: MIA releases July 26. If you like what you see from its new trailer down below, it might be worth spending the next month familiarising yourself with the original - The Red Solstice. Once the Steam Summer Sale kicks in a 6pm BST today it'll be available at 70% off.
