Just days after adding tutorials years after launch, it's time to put all that practice to the test in Blitzkrieg 3's newest update. Boris is ready to show you how it's done.
Being a fairly atypical RTS title, we can likely apply the stereotype seen in titles like Starcraft that bring attention to those of a certain ethnicity and their ability to completely outpace the rest of the world with their quick-thinking and keyboard dexterity. Apply that to an AI, and you end up with Boris. Apparently.
Boris is the first 'neural network' AI competitor to make it into Blitzkrieg - Nival's latest World War II RTS title. He's here to make your life a living hell by proving that computer-handled artificial intelligence needn't lap up hidden information to provide a challenge to a human opponent. Everything about Boris is strictly by-the-book; yet he's still a force to be reckonned with.
Nival Originally Had Ideas For Microtransactions in Blitzkrieg 3 But Buckled Under Fan Pressure
Without access to hidden information, Boris knows when to hide from encroaching enemies, use buildings as barriers during firefights and a good sense of commanding his infantry to wage war at the best of their ability. Just to make things make even more sense, he's locked between a 5-10 second delay as a match starts to ensure he's not already rolling ahead while a player is still sat in a loading screen.
If you're ready for him, he's ready for you. Those newly added tutorials likely won't do much to prepare you for his smooth moves - but he could teach you a thing or two about intricate micro-management. While still in Early Access after nearly two years, it's still available here.
