If you're looking to fend off a 'wurm' in a medieval strategy setting, Battle Brothers is allowing you to do just that with the release of some major free DLC.
Released back in May, many of the Battle Brothers updates that have come before have been relatively small bug fixes, balance patches and similar offerings. Now, outside of its soundtrack, Battle Brothers has a new optional DLC to pick up through the Steam Store.
The update itself is accompanied by patch 1.1.0.5 and its bugfixes, but the main allure of the recent additional content pack is the Lindwurm, a monster of legend that wants nothing more than to protect its treasure.

But everyone knows that just entices men with swords to go on an adventure. It doesn't take a re-run of a campaign to see the changes, so players new and old can jump straight back into Battle Brothers, gather their... battle brothers... and head off in search of the beast and its hoard. It likely won't be an easy battle, but the rewards should be plentiful.
To celebrate the emergence of this new beast, Battle Brothers currently sits at 50% off on Steam. We don't have our own review to share, but after 2 years in Early Access, the finished product still holds a 'Very Positive' rating with over 3000 user reviews. That's pretty good!
