The last few years have been good to the fans of classic table-top RPGs; so good, in fact, that a bunch of players have decided to band together to take the imagination out of the genre and put in into a video game of their own.
Rezrog comes as a collaborative effort between Kasedo Games and Soaphog Games. Coming to Windows PC, Linux and Mac this Spring.
Shadowed by a growing evil, demons and powerful wizards have begun to gather in an attempt to capture the power of the gems buried deep underneath the colourful land of Rezrog. Uninterested in seeing its landscapes reduced to a desolate wasteland, you're tasked with taking a force down into the 100 winding floors of the dungeons below. 10 different evironments will keep the trip from growing stale while characters can look forward to more than 60 skills across 7 different classes.
Looking For A Darker Dungeon? Darkest Dungeon Is About As Dark As A Dungeon Can Get
Should one of the lands finest bite off more than they can chew down there, their last attempt at survival will come from the next brave hero to delve into its depths. Taking on a vibrant art-style, Rezrog looks to be taking inspiration from board games like Smallworld while putting a more graphical spin on the grid-based dungeon building of table-top RPGs with the way each room falls into place piece-by-piece.
Rezrog hopes to be a dungeon crawling rogue-like different to that of its more moody cousins with its blend of colourful tones and procedurally generated landscapes. There's plenty of more details over on its Steam page.
