Now that Destiny hype is in full-swing once more, Bungie have begun to a head what appears to be a regular blog/column on their homepage. What's happening 'This Week At Bungie'?
Following on from the Destiny 2 gameplay reveal in an aircraft hanger in California, the world is alive with the sound of Guardians rising against the Cabal once more. But with more exposure, comes more curiosity. Now that PC players are allowed into the Destiny fold, there's more questions than ever.
One of which certainly boiled down to Bungie's decision to use peer-to-peer networking over dedicated servers. They assure worried players that the move isn't simply a cost-cutting measure, but one that should actually improve the overall experience. Of course, they can't guarantee this'll lead to 0 lag-spikes; but the Beta test coming later this Summer will let us all judge for ourselves. Apparently their engineers have been working for years on a method to ensure hackers and cheaters are swiftly dealt with on PC - and the use of Blizzard's own launcher is certainly a fine wall, too.

And that's about it, actually. For Destiny 2 related questions, that is. The rest of the post talks more about Luke Smith's time on stage during the big reveal and how his Mother ponders whether to become a Guardian when she retires. The community team picks out a new 'Movie of the Week' (see below) and select a new 'Bungie Bounty' by way of Ekuegan who's looking for 'Control' Crucible challenges at 1PM this Bank Holiday Monday. If you're a PS4 guardian for now, think about taking him down. You'll get Emblems for your efforts.
So there you have it! After spending a week setting up an aircraft hanger for a day-long video game event, the Bungie team probably haven't had all that much time to themselves. Hopefully each of these weekly articles will answer more burning questions. Or not. We'll see.
