While the MOBA genre technically kicked off with the classic Warcraft III mod, it wasn't until recent games like League of Legends and Heroes of Newearth came about that these types of games started to become mainstream.
With countless developers now trying to make their own splash in the genre that's swept the world with eSports events and gaming cafe attendance numbers, it's NCSOFT's turn for a piece of the proverbial pie with MxM - Master x Master.
Pulling a similar stunt to that of Blizzard with Heroes of the Storm, NCSOFT's take on the MOBA genre pulls in characters from across their wide-ranging IP from the recently released Blade and Soul to Guild Wars and everywhere in between. There's a large amount of new characters devised for MxM alone, too, and like any good MOBA title, there's always more to come.

With DOTA 2 recently making headlines for its new co-op PvE missions, MxM had those in mind from the onset. It isn't just a PvP oriented battle arena like most would come to expect. There's an overarching storyline dripping into PvE content through dungeons you'd expect to see in a typical MMORPG - of which NCSOFT have many.
Featuring tag-in/tag-out gameplay, MxM is another F2P MOBA title that's doing a lot to ensure it isn't really just "another F2P MOBA title". Think of it as Overwatch, too - where switching characters mid-round it almost a necessity to secure the win.
