Releasing back in January of this year, Conan Exiles saw a playerbase rise far more quickly than they ever anticipated. It was enough to essentially save the studio from shutting down, but that doesn't mean its at the level of quality Funcom are comfortable calling a 'finished product'. They're delaying its official release.
Currently in Early Access over on Steam, the team still managed to release a major expansion for the title. Thankfully offered for free, the add-on made the game far bigger and less likely to grow stale by adding more than just a simple barren wasteland for players to call home.
Despite the work hours poured into that release, the team has decided to push back the game's originally scheduled Q1 2018 release window into Q2. The title is always being patched to squash bugs and offer handy little gameplay tweaks, but even after all this time, players and developers alike feel it isn't quite ready to meet its once projected Q1 release with its pride intact.

In a short message made on the game's Steam page, the developers said "Making sure that Conan Exiles is of a high technical and gameplay quality is our number one priority right now. As such, we have decided to take a little more time than we had originally planned, to make sure we get as much polish in as we can before it moves out of Early Access."
So what do you think? People were certainly enjoying 'certain aspects' of Conan Exiles earlier this year. Has it failed to expand upon what drew players in back then? Let us know.
