Following a fan suggestion, Mark Hamill says he is happy to play mentor Vesemir in The Witcher Netflix TV series, despite not knowing anything about the source material.
The Witcher showrunner Lauren S Hissrich seems extremely keen on the idea of hiring the actor, best known for his roles as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars and the voice of The Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Here are the characters who could be in The Witcher Netflix TV Series!
The exchange took place on Twitter. Showrunner Hissrich tweeted about the character of Vesemir, the elderly badass mentor of the Witchers, and Twitter user Club Star Wars suggested Mark Hamill. Hamill then responded.
I have no idea what this is or what it's about but agree it could/should be played by me. đź‘Ť

Hissrich sounded quite excited by the idea:

We'd certainly be thrilled by this casting, especially after Hamill's excellent recent appearance as the aging grouchier Luke in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which was almost like an audition tape for the part of Vesemir. Nothing's guaranteed yet of course, as none of the casting's been set, but it's a further sign that yes - The Witcher show is really happening.
