Battlerite’s periodically re-appearing “Creepy Event”, titles Tales of Horror, is back again starting today in honor of this Friday, which falls on the 13th. The timed content available only during this creepy event is once again available for purchase via the in-game store, giving you the chance to grab some spooky outfits for your favorite characters.
The event coincides with patch 1.5.1. So-called creepy chests are back in the game’s gem store, with each chest guaranteeing one non-duplicate creepy item of Epic or Legendary rarity. Duplicates will only be dropped once all creepy items have been acquired. One of the creepy chests will cost you 250 gems, buying five will net you an additional chest for 1250 gems and 20 plus 7 chests will go for 5000 gems.
A different kind of chest with different drop rates, the spooky chest, has also been added, and will replace standard silver chests for the duration of the event. These will be awarded upon leveling up, or can be purchased by spending 400 battle coins. Spooky chests guarantee 1 rare drop and 1 random creepy item. With this new iteration of the event - which will end on the 25th of April - has brought new content to the creepy and spooky lineup.
Jumong, Poloma and Varesh get new legendary creepy outfits; Alysia, Destiny, Jamila, Thorn, Ulric, and Zander get new epic creepy weapons and lastly Jade, Jumong, Pearl, Poloma, Raigon, Rook, and Varesh get rare creepy poses. Event quests will be alternate methods of farming chests, with two quests running sequentially as the event progresses, with the first quest ending on the 18th and the second starting right after. These quests involve winning 35 casual, league or duel matches, rewarding a chest for each batch of 35 wins.
The 1.5.1 patch itself brings its standard set of bugfixes and balance changes. Highlights from the patch include the removal of special items and game-modes related to the Easter seasonal event and font-size adjustment has been added to improve accessibility. With regards to characters, some minor balance changes have been implemented. Nothing earthshattering - some of the more important changes are a buff to Iva’s Tractor Pulse, a debuff to Jade’s Ambush and tweaks to most of Jamila’s and Ulric’s abilities, pushing stats around in minor but impactful ways.
