Two Point Hospital, the spiritual successor to the classic Theme Hospital is offering prospective players a special in-game item if they sign up to Hospital Pass. While the nature of the item was unknown until now, the developers have unveiled what it is you gave them your e-mail address for. I can’t comment on whether or not it’s worth it, but it certainly is an… interesting choice!
Hospital Pass is basically a monthly newsletter about the upcoming game, set to launch sometime late 2018, with “exclusive” trailers, gameplay videos and promotions. The similarly exclusive item that players will get, provided they purchase Two Point Hospital and log in with the same e-mail, is befitting the humorous, offbeat style of the game - it’s a golden toilet.
The “solid gold crap-station”, as the item is described in the press release, is a reskin of the basic toilet model to shine a gaudy gold. Why would you need golden toilets in a hospital? You don’t, obviously, but anyone who has played Theme Hospital will know that this kind of nonsense isn’t out of place in a game that professes to be a successor.
The golden toilet will be available to everyone who signs up for Hospital Pass prior to the release of the game, which will happen later this year. The guys at Two Point Studios knows this looks like they’re taking the piss, and kindly remind everyone to direct their inquiries to the developer’s social media pages where their PR people are ready to laugh their asses off at people who take this too seriously (and thus clearly don’t know what kind of game this is).
