Fortnite players are all aware that Tilted Towers could soon be coming to an end, because for the last few weeks there's been speculation that a meteor in the sky is acting as a warning of its impending doom.
Fortnite Season 3 will be coming to an end at the end of this month, so many believe that's when the meteor will strike and destroy Tilted Towers. Yesterday, when the hotfix arrived, the meteor started giving out sounds and causing random controller vibrations – fuelling the evidence that something was about to happen even further.
Last night the community took further steps, with Reddit user Lucas7yoshi taking the audio from the meteor and then presenting it as a spectrogram using Spek. The results are pretty spectacular, with the ‘Take The L’ dance used by Rust Lord shown. Check out the image below:
With Fortnite players now completely set on Tilted Towers' impending doom, players got together to organise a Tilted Towers Wake Ceremony to celebrate the death trap location before its destruction.
The plan was for players to queue into solo mode on the Oceanic server at precisely 6 PM EST, and then proceed to destroy every building, tree or vehicle in the area, until it was nothing more than a pile of rubble. In went very well, after a few attempts of course!
Check out all the screenshots and videos below to see how the Tilted Towers Wake Ceremony unfolded during the course of the night. It's something pretty special, don't you think?
