Sci-fi 4X Galactic Civilizations III has a new expansion on the way that's all about politics. Named "Intrigue", the DLC lets you assemble your cabinet of advisors, choose a form of government, and earn the trust and faith of your people on galactic scale.
The update also brings new technologies, planetary improvements, and weapons, including new ship modules and technologies designed to improve your government.

GALACTIC CIVILIZATIONS III REVIEW
Upon creating a game, you will be able to choose the members of your cabinet and balance their attributes with your objectives and each other. After that, you get to pick a form of government and start politicking to make your civilization successful.
If that sounds like a lot of things to do, a new commonwealth system allows you put your colonies on auto-pilot, keeping them permanently allied to you but run by the AI. This should help reduce that pesky micromanagement that's so common in strategy games nowadays.
Last but not least, updates to the Galactic Bazaar market allow you to trade resources, and the Galactic News Network has been revamped with a robot who reports on anything of importance going on across the galaxy.
The DLC has no set release date, but we know it's coming Summer of 2018. Check the Steam page for more.
