Age of Wonders: Planetfall is out on August 6th, and an important question is what playable factions will be in the game at launch.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall Races - What Factions will there be?
The Vanguard: Your standard human empire, raising to the stars after the cosmic dark age destroyed the Star Union. Focused on troops and drones, with a very human arsenal of bombs, lasers, and guns.
The Amazons: An all-female offshoot of the human race, stranded after the Star Union's collapse. They live as one with the nature, and can spread forests throughout provinces.
The Dvar: Space dwarves, complete with metal beards. Survivalists worried about production and mining, their heavy units focus on strength.
The Assembly: A race of cyborgs who wants to destroy the galaxy before rebuilding it into their own vision of a perfect order.
The Kir’ko: The only alien lifeform discovered by the Star Union, this psionic insect species was enslaved by humans and now want vengeance. Mainly melee, with a few snipers and ranged units capable of spitting poison.
The Syndicate: The equivalent of the space mafia, this human faction specialises in espionage and trading. Not much info has been given regarding it.
