Carrion has long-since entered its production stage, though there wasn't any concrete information or even a tentative release date available so far. This changed with the latest announcements, and the game now even has a Steam page, to boot.
Carrion is going to be published by none other than Devolver Digital - as you'd expect them to - and going by what the official trailer shows, it's going to be quite a unique experience through-and-through.
The current tentative release date for Carrion is June 1, 2020, which makes us think the game still has a fair bit to go before the developer, Phobia Game Studio, could call it a day. Thankfully, if you, too, were suspicious about the lack of official announcements, those worries can now be put to rest.
Featuring the titular 'Carrion' monstrosity under players' control, this reverse-horror game is going to task us with charging through humans at a distressing speed to try and get through each level as stealthily and speedily as possible.
Game will feature an RPG-ish evolution system, where the amorphous blob of murder gains new abilities and grows, and there will absolutely be an astonishing amount of blood and gore to look at. Violence aside, Carrion also does look quite good - especially the flamethrower effects. Watch the official trailer below!
