Set in the cold and bleak planet Lethe, Aliens: Dark Descent challenges players to control a squad of Colonial Marines as they battle against deadly aliens. In this intense, real-time squad-based tactical action game, you’ll need to carefully assign roles to each squad member, manage your resources, and utilize each tool wisely as you explore the depths of the planet’s facility.
With that premise in mind, you may be wondering if Aliens: Dark Descent has co-op support that will allow you to play with your friends, probably similar to the way Wartales work. So, is there co-op support in Aliens Dark Descent? We’ve got the answer just for you.
Can You Play Co-Op in Aliens: Dark Descent?
Unfortunately, Aliens: Dark Descent does not offer co-op support for players looking for a multiplayer game experience. The campaign in the Aliens universe can only be played as a single-player mode, in which you’re tasked to give deployment orders to your squad as they progress through different areas.
Co-op gameplay is a staple of many video games today, and while Aliens: Dark Descent breaks the mold by offering a single-player-only experience, it does so with innovative design elements that add to the sense of tension and suspense.
Some of the notable features of the game include the ability to promote each member of your squad to unlock new abilities and attributes, research and improve your gear, and so much more - all while you keep each of them sane and healthy.
Most importantly, considering that the game also features a “Unique Squad Behaviour system,” which allows each marine to react intelligently to your deployment orders, it’s even more possible to enjoy the game without the presence of another player.
So, despite the lack of co-op support, that doesn’t mean the solitary experience isn’t as intense. The suspenseful atmosphere is still intact, so if you are after a thrilling solo adventure, then Aliens: Dark Descent will provide and offer plenty of action.
