Aside from blowing holes into countless Xenomorphs, Aliens: Fireteam Elite gives you a couple of reasons to return after beating its campaign. There are weapons and other items to unlock, but you’ll also need to put in extra work if you’re aiming for hitting max level and maximum rank with each class.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite tracks max level for three different things. You have your general player level, which reflects overall progress, the class ranks, which shows your progress with each of the game’s five classes, as well as weapon levels which unlock useful perks.
Let’s start with Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s max player level. Currently, it goes as high as 20, and you’ll need to play quite a few missions, should you plan on reaching it. Every mission, whether part of the campaign or horde mode, counts towards it. At launch, there is no prestige system in place. Once you do hit maximum level, that’s as far as you can go.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s max class rank currently sits at 8 (or VIII, if you want to be fancy and use Roman numerals as they appear in-game). Each mission grants experience for the class you’re playing as. Getting classes to maximum level has, arguably, the biggest impact on gameplay, since doing so unlocks portions of their perk grids.
Weapons also earn experience as you use them and their maximum rank is 4 stars. Each rank comes with a perk that grants weapons passive perks, increasing their efficiency in battle.
That’s what you need to know about the current Aliens: Fireteam Elite max levels and maximum ranks. The title’s first season starts in early September and, if the lore nerd within you stirs, our Intel locations guide is here to help.
