While exploring Alone in the Dark’s Derceto Manor, you will come across numerous puzzles requiring solutions to advance the storyline. Among these, the X-ray Puzzle located in the Laboratory must be completed to acquire Jeremy’s Darkness, a key item necessary for progression.
The X-ray puzzle functions similarly to a jigsaw, requiring you to assemble photocopies of Jeremy’s brain correctly. Figuring out the correct arrangement can be challenging, but we’re here to guide you through it if you’re finding it difficult.
How do you solve the X-ray Puzzle in Alone in the Dark?
In the X-ray room, six photocopies of Jeremy’s brain are affixed to the wall, but you only need to piece together three of them to proceed.
In solving the puzzle, we started from the bottom and worked our way up. We will provide screenshots of the completed puzzle, highlighting the three correctly positioned pieces.
Begin with the patient tag featuring half a brain at the bottom, and then carefully align the next two photocopies, paying close attention to the outer borders. You can rotate the copies, so make sure you adjust them until they align up.
You should see a dark circle forming in the middle of the brain if you’re close, and with that Jeremy’s Darkness key item will be unlocked and in your inventory.
If you’ve done everything in the attic and once you’ve obtained Jeremy’s Darkness, you should see a new cutscene emerge when you walk down the stairwell from the attic and infirmary.
