Bioware’s Anthem is one of 2019’ most highly anticipated releases and information on it has slowly begun to appear over the last stretch of time. As it represents a departure for the studio, largely known for its RPGs, people are curious to learn more about how the looter shooter will handle its loot, particularly that earned from endgame activities.
To this extent, Reddit user Rollin-Bones asked the developer, in the game’s Reddit Ask Your Questions Megathread, whether endgame loot will be obtainable from other sources.
Anthem Senior Systems Designer Chris Schmidt answered that the loot from endgame content wouldn’t be exclusive to it. “There may still be a very very small chance a piece of that loot could drop somewhere else, but it would be a very rare thing to happen.”, he continued.
In his original question, user Rollin-Bones used the term “raids” to refer to endgame content. Schmidt clarified that the developer does not use the term “because it can mean very different things to different people”.
He also stated that Anthem will feature “a variety of endgame experiences” that will include the already announced four-player Strongholds alongside others which will be talked about “later”.
