Anthem originally got slammed for a fair number of things, not least of which was the severe lack of varied and interesting loot for players to work towards. Obviously, this is problematic in a looter-shooter, but latest datamines suggest that Bioware is working on alleviating the issue.
Anthem datamined weapons didn't appear only as lines of code, see, but the developers also included references to actual models, allowing them to render said weapons and armour for our consideration. Additionally, two new sets of armour are coming as well.
What are the Datamined Anthem Weapons Like?</h2>
Whereas the majority of Anthem's currently available Masterwork/Legendary weapons are just re-skins of other weapons found in the game, datamined renders suggest that these new ones will have unique attachments and skins, at the very least. Furthermore, though these armaments do not yet have names, they will only appear as Masterwork and Legendary spawns, increasing their value exponentially.
As for the armour sets, there are two coming: one for Storm and the other for Ranger Javelins, and they are likely to be added to the game as microtransactions, since Anthem is having trouble in that regard, too, with players complaining that there's nothing for them to spend money on.
There's no word on when all this stuff might be coming out, so don't hold your breath just yet.
All this combined with stuff such as the latest Dominion Takeover event makes for a potentially promising future for Anthem. It does remain to be seen, however, whether Bioware can fully bank on their golden hen's potential.
