Anthem, the latest game from BioWare, is out this week, and for fans of the studio's previous sci-fi epic Mass Effect there's a special treat. BioWare have made available an Anthem Mass Effect skin to customize your Javelin's armor with.
But how do you get the Anthem Mass Effect armor? Do you have to complete any quests to get it? Is it a quest reward? Or is it just purchasable with microtransactions? We've got the answers.
How Do You Get the Anthem Mass Effect Skin?
Play through a few missions and then explore (what you can) of Fort Tarsis, specifically the bazaar area next to your Javelin, and you'll eventually be able to talk to a trader called Prospero. He sells special decals and other customization options for your Javelins - and yes, he's also a front for the game's online store.
Before you can do anything else, he'll say he has to get 3 Ember Pieces to light the Forge he needs, and you'll get the Lighting The Fire critical mission. Unlike other missions however, you won't get a mission tracker for this one. Head out into Free-Play, and fly low across the landscape until you find any glowing objects you can extract material from. About 50% of the time you'll get an Ember in addition to the materials. Collect 3 and return to Prospero at Fort Tarsis to complete the quest.
Now, you can either open Prospero's Vanity Shop, or head to the Forge and go to Appearance > Vinyls > "Buy" tab. You'll get multiple options here, but for the Anthem Mass Effect skin you want the Graphic: N7 Vinyl. It'll instantly give your Javelin a Mass Effect makeover.
Now for the downside: it costs 36000 credits. Best get saving...
