Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes the series to 9th century England, following the saga of Viking raider Eivor. The game was revealed via an impressive cinematic trailer that, nonetheless, left fans with many questions, one of which regards whether multiplayer will make a return.
Since the series’ RPG-focused revamp, multiplayer hasn’t been a part of its Egyptian and Greek adventures. This is likely to change, to a certain extent, in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Assassins Creed Valhalla Multiplayer
While Assassin Creed Valhalla won’t let you raid and pillage alongside your friends, it does include a feature that enables you to create custom AI-controlled raiders which can accompany friends during raids. The series’ past takes on multiplayer weren’t particularly traditional and neither is this one.
“Create and customize your own mercenary Vikings to share online, and reap the spoils when they fight alongside your friends in their own sagas. Recruit mercenaries created by other players, and add their strength to your forces.”, a blurb on the game’s official website reads.
While, perhaps, not the multiplayer some expected, this is the closest the series has been, in quite a while, to having players interact with each other. It also reminds us of Dragon’s Dogma’s Pawn system, which was loads of fun.
We’ll update this article with new details regarding multiplayer in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as soon as we learn more. In the meantime, here’s everything we know about the next entry in the series.
