With E3 no longer happening, studios have been scrambling to build hype without the yearly spectacle. Ubisoft China has taken the teasing approach to the problem, today declaring a surprise announcement for… later today, 1pm British Standard Time.
Industry insider Daniel Ahmad revealed the tease on Twitter, confirming the date and time of the announcement. “It’s worth paying attention to Ubisoft social media outside of China too. Both today and tomorrow.” claimed Ahmad.
Ubisoft Reveal at 1pm BST
Reports are vague, but it seems likely they are revealing the next Assassin’s Creed game. This is a safe bet, with most of Ubisoft’s franchise staples already public and the domain assassinscreedvalhalla.com recently registered by Gandi.net, as spotted by DSO Gaming. This likely points to it being called Valhalla.
If Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is in development we’ll find out for sure in just a short time, although we’re only expecting a teaser trailer, and not a full reveal for what is likely to be the next-gen Assassin’s Creed game.
