Will Assassin’s Creed Valhalla be released on Steam? Announced as the first Viking adventure in the series, coming with a hefty dose of raiding, brutal combat, and settlement management in tow, this latest entry leaves fans wondering which PC store it will grace with its presence.
The first signs showed that AC: Valhalla wouldn’t benefit from a Steam release date, akin to Ubisoft titles like The Division 2, favoring the publisher’s own storefront and Epic Games Store instead. Here’s what we know about whether or not Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released on Steam.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla Steam Release Date
Publisher Ubisoft confirmed during its Ubisoft Forward event that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will not be released on Steam, at least initially.
Players interested in the title’s PC version had to purchase it on either Ubisoft’s own Uplay Store or the Epic Games Store.
This was the case for two whole years following the game’s release. As its post-launch support comes to an end, however, we now know that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is making its way to Steam on December 6, 2022.
