Atlas Fallen, on the verge of its release for PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5, raises a pertinent question: will it support crossplay? Set to launch on 10th August, Atlas Fallen features a two-player co-op mode that would certainly benefit from some form of crossplay support.
Unfortunately, it appears that Atlas Fallen will not support crossplay across any platforms at launch. Deck13, the developer, has not provided any specific reason for not being able to include it.
Is Atlas Fallen going to support Crossplay?
A fan posed a question on Twitter inquiring about the game’s crossplay support. In response, the publisher, Focus Entertainment, confirmed that the game would not support crossplay.
“Hi, sorry crossplay platform is not available on Atlas Fallen 🙁” read the response.
The reason crossplay is in such high demand these days is that people don’t always have the same platform. For instance, if you possess an Xbox Series X while your family or friends have a PlayStation 5, the absence of crossplay support in Atlas Fallen would prevent you from enjoying the game together.
We remain hopeful that this may change in the future, once the publisher has put together the first few waves of patches and content. If it does, rest assured that we will update this article to accurately reflect the status of crossplay support for Atlas Fallen.
