Baldur’s Gate 3 is a gargantuan game filled with difficult choices and challenging encounters, so much so that we’ve all felt the urge to ask the gods of console commands and cheats for a bit of help.
Whether because of a nasty foe that keeps prematurely sending your party to the afterlife, romantic regret, or a pesky skill check we can’t quite seem to get past, BG3 console commands and cheats would come in handy, allowing us to progress while enjoying whichever outcome we deem best for our characters.
Baldur's Gate 3 Console Commands and Cheats
Unfortunately, BG3 console commands and cheats weren’t available at launch and developer Larian Studios has, so far, not shown any intention to add them in the game’s subsequent patches.
But while we may not be able to type in arcane codes and instantly gain forbidden power, a set of cheat-like mods have now been released, producing similar effects.
Whether through a witty line delivered at the right moment or an Eldritch Blast that softens up enemies for swift stabbery, our party is instrumental to our efforts.
This mod removes the existing party size limit, allowing as many as 16 characters to join in on the fun and wreak havoc.
Another enables achievements while playing with mods, while a third lets characters reach level 20, albeit with a few caveats that involve multiclassing.
Since we can all agree that item hoarding is a big part of any reasonable RPG player’s experience, it’s good to know that one of Baldur’s Gate 3’s cheat-like mods significantly increases carry weight. The days of being separated from our entire collection of worn slippers are finally behind us.
Baldur’s Gate 3’s companions have very strong personalities and will often refuse pursuing anything remotely romantic if you’re already involved with someone else.
Enter the No Romance Limit mod, which lets you pursue intimate relationships with as many companions as you wish, in any order.
Then, if you’ve always yearned to have a look at (almost) all of the items in the game, you can now have them conveniently delivered to you in a suspiciously spacious barrel. One to satisfy both our curious nature and the hoarders within.
That’s how things currently look as far as Baldur’s Gate 3 console commands and cheats go. Other mods allow us to customize our experience in different ways, while patch 6 will very likely deliver the first big batch of fixes and content updates of 2024.
