Baldur’s Gate 3’s first act houses a number of items that can make your life easier throughout a good chunk of the sprawling RPG, and knowing where to find the Gloves of Thievery certainly helps if you plan on entering places you shouldn’t really be in or doing some good old thieving.
Although you trade gold to obtain them, BG3’s Gloves of Thievery can be easily missed, given how the vendor who sells them won’t be eager to do so unless you help out his faction first. In addition, he’s waiting in an underground area that you might miss.
Baldur's Gate 3 Gloves of Thievery
To find Baldur’s Gate 3’s Gloves of Thievery, you’ll need to reach the Zhentarim Basement in act 1. You can enter it using a hatch found in the westernmost building inside Waukeen’s Rest. The Risen Road waypoint is relatively close to it.
Inside, you’ll notice a vendor named Brem. He initially doesn’t seem to have the gloves on him, but that’s not actually the case.
The leader of the Zhentarim, Zarys, who usually hangs out on the upper levels, can grant him permission to sell you an improved stock of items, provided you help them out.
Two ways to ensure this happens involve either aiding his fellow Zhentarim fend off a gnoll attack during the Find the Missing Shipment quest or bringing the chest they were meant to retrieve back to the basement without opening it.
The ambush happens near a cave entrance on the Risen Road that’s relatively easy to bump into. It’s best to go in prepared, since you’ll be dealing with a fair few gnolls.
BG3’s Gloves of Thievery are part of Brem’s improved item stock and you can buy them for around 150 gold. You can also attempt to steal them, but this may prove tricky, given the other patroling Zhentarim.
The character that equips them gains advantage of Sleight of Hand checks, so it’s best to pass them over to whoever handles lockpicking, stealing, and trap disarming duties in your party.
That is what you need to know about where to find the Gloves of Thievery in Baldur’s Gate 3.
