Battletech</a> has had a substantial new expansion pack cooking for a while now, but the release date has been a mystery, aside from a vague 'November' announcement. Well, if you're knee-deep in mechs and eager for more content, wait no more!
Paradox Interactive have just announced not only the precise release date for Battletech: Flashpoint, but they've also let us know about the Battletech Season Pass, which is going to come in handy for the three more expansions that the developers, Harebrained Schemes, are preparing.
First things first - the Season Pass announcement has come a bit out of the blue, but it's going to allow newcomers to get all of the previously released content for Battletech, Flashpoint, and all the future expansion at a considerably reduced price, which is more than a decent deal, all things considered.
According to the developers, Flashpoint will add over 30 hours of new content to the base Battletech experience, the majority of which will be introduced through the titular Flashpoints - branching, interlinked short stories that will serve to further flesh out the game's universe. There is a new mission type as well, three new mechs, and the tropical biome to enjoy.
The Battletech Season Pass is priced at €49,99, though it's been given a 20% discount until Flashpoint is released, on 2nd of December, while Flashpoint alone will set you back €19,99. While you're waiting for Flashpoint to come out, though, be sure to enhance your game with some mods!
Curiously, the next content pack for Battletech has already been given a title - Urban Warfare.
