Biomutant’s Cable Puzzles are very likely the most challenging ones you’ll encounter throughout the game, and the exact way to solve them may not be immediately obvious.
When faced with one of Biomutant’s Cable Puzzles, you’ll always look at an open electrical panel with multiple ports connected by cables. Below them, you’ll spot two rows of letters. One of them is gray, the other green and yellow.
The first thing you need to understand is how to read the letter sequences. The grey one at the bottom actually shows you the solution. Your goal, then, is to get an identical sequence of letters on the top row. As you can probably tell, you do this by connecting cables to different ports.
These ports come in multiple varieties: some will have letters both above and below them, others just above, while some will be empty. The letters shown above the port get added to your sequence, while the ones below get subtracted from it.
The solution to Biomutant’s Cable Puzzles is to connect cables to ports in such a way that the added and subtracted letters ultimately result in the proper sequence.
On the top row, the “wrong” letters are marked in yellow, so you can always keep track of what you need to target next. Keep in mind that you can change the ports to which both ends of the cables connect.
Trial and error definitely plays a role in Biomutant’s Cable Puzzles but, with enough patience, you’ll eventually see them through.
