Many side quests await those who step into Biomutant’s unexpectedly colorful post-apocalyptic world. Quite a few send you chasing after old-world devices such as Microwaves, asking you to solve a series of Rotation Puzzles.
Biomutant’s Microwave Puzzles appear during the Find the Fry-Sparker side quest, which has you traveling the world in search of five such appliances. These Rotation Puzzles aren’t necessarily difficult but there is a trick to them that you need to know about.
Each of Biomutant’s Microwave Rotation Puzzles gives you a set number of moves before you automatically fail. They’re influenced by your Intelligence stat but even if you get the solution wrong, you’re free to try again afterwards.
What you need to do is properly align the knobs. You can move between them using the A and D keys while Q and E rotate them to the left and right, respectively. Your currently selected knob can be spotted thanks to the white glow at its center.
Above and below the knobs, you’ll see rectangles with buttons on them that glow either white or orange. Solving Biomutant’s Fry-Sparker Rotation Puzzles involves getting the arrows with the same color as the button to point towards it. If the button glows white, you want a white arrow pointing towards it. Conversely, orange arrows like orange buttons.
When you’re dealing with more than one knob, the interior arrows also need to share colors. This rule applies to all five Microwave Puzzles you need to complete during the Find the Fry-Sparkers side quest. Solve them all and you should get some pretty cool loot.
