While the gaming community at large has been mostly thrilled with Bioware's upcoming flagship - Anthem - a rather large subset of Bioware fans has also been fairly vocal in regard to their Mass Effect and Dragon Age IPs. This is why Bioware have chosen to address the matter via their latest blog post.
In what is somehow both surprising and utterly expected at the same time, Bioware have outright stated that there are, indeed, some unannounced Mass Effect/Dragon Age projects currently undergoing active development, though they're not nearly done yet.
"We hear loud and clear the interest in BioWare doing more Dragon Age and Mass Effect, so rest assured that we have some teams hidden away working on some secret stuff that I think you’ll really like," said Bioware, adding that they are as-of-yet unprepared to showcase anything proper.
Exciting though this may be, it might also be worth keeping in mind that these secret Mass Effect and/or Dragon Age games are highly unlikely to be proper AAA releases, due to the fact that it's kind of an 'all-hands-on-deck' situation at Bioware already, courtesy of Anthem.
Worst case scenario, we may yet get a card game that pits the two fictional universes against one another. Imagine that: Hanar versus the Darkspawn. In any case, here's hoping that neither of these IPs falls into irrelevance further down the line!
