Blood Bowl 3’s mixture of strategy, sports, and violence easily makes it one of the more unique games out there. Continuing the long legacy of its tabletop counterpart, the third entry’s release date has had a bit of a tumultuous journey since its closed beta was revealed earlier this year.
Blood Bowl 3’s release date has seen several delays, ending up pushed well beyond its first announced launch window. It was originally meant to see the game going live in early 2021, more than five years after the second entry in the series.
After it was first delayed by six months in February 2021, publisher Nacon and developer Cyanide Studios then pushed the full release to February 2022 while revealing their intention to make the game initially available in early access.
As September was coming to a close, the team behind the game admitted to being “a bit too optimistic” about Blood Bowl 3’s September early access launch, delaying it once again without providing a new date or window.
- Blood Bowl 3 early access release date: unknown
- Blood Bowl 3 release date: 2022
On November 30, 2021, the publisher confirmed that Blood Bowl 3’s release date will occur “later in 2022,” the game missing its February 2022 release window.
The press release did not mention anything about its early access version but did state that a closed beta would go live before launch. Whether the two are identical or early access plans have been scrapped is unclear at the moment.
When it launches, Blood Bowl 3 will feature a roster of no less than 12 teams which cater to a variety of different playstyles. You shouldn’t have too much trouble finding one to suit how you prefer doing things, whether that involves playing fair, punching stuff, or lots of cheating.
That’s what we know about Blood Bowl 3’s release date at the moment. We expect to learn more over the coming months and will update this article as soon as we have new details to share.
