Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is going to contain an awful lot of blood, and just a dash of nudity to top off the violence. That said, the title does kind of give it away, does it not?
The Bloodstained ESRB rating goes into some detail on what sort of content we are to expect from the long-awaited release, citing bathtubs of blood, impaled corpses, and a topless female boss creature. Neat!
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a spiritual successor to Castlevania games; a side-scrolling action RPG where players assume the role of a cursed protagonist who must battle her way through veritable hordes of monsters in order to save the world.
ESRB has rated the game 'T for Teen', citing "a boss character emerging from a bathtub full of blood," who then proceeds to use various blood-related attacks in order to kill the protagonist. "The game also depicts a topless female boss creature," but much to everyone's relief, there are "no discernible nipples." Phew.
The ESRB rating was originally spotted by Ostrog, whose article seems to point towards an original 'M for Mature' rating, though if that were the case, ESRB seems to have changed its opinion somewhere in the meantime.
