Borderlands 3, as a loot shooter, has a vast array of things to pick up, find, equip, and... well, loot. But while most of the focus is on the many crazy guns out there in the worlds, there are a bunch of useful artifacts too - such as the Borderlands 3 Electric Banjo.
The difference between the Electric Banjo and many other artifacts around the game is that this item has a special weapon effect that's not very clear. What is Bullet Proc Chance and what does the Electric Banjo do?
What is the Borderlands 3 Electric Banjo and what does it do?
The Electric Banjo is a special Legendary artifact made by Eridian. It can conceivably be picked up anywhere as it is just a random drop, but the most likely place you'll need to go to find it is the Ambermire on Eden-6. In particular, the Psychobillies there have a high chance of dropping it.
Once you've got the Electric Banjo, you'll be wondering what the various special weapon effects are connected to it. Shock Damage, Electrocute Chance and Shock Resistance are all fairly predictable, but what about the main special effect?
'BULLET PROC CHANCE - 20%'
What does this mean? Quite simply, this means that every bullet you shoot has a 20% chance to arc electricity to another nearby enemy, dealing shock damage. Very useful - we just wish they'd make that clearer!
