Call of Cthulhu is out now, and while it has some problems it's still a worthy adventure, with a lot of cool puzzles to solve. And one of the earliest brain-taxing puzzles is the Call of Cthulhu Globe Puzzle.
You'll find yourself in the Hawkins Manor in pursuit of a suspect, but you'll have to get past the puzzle in Charles Hawkins' office to chase him. So let us show you how to solve the Call of Cthulhu Globe Puzzle!
How to Solve the Call of Cthulhu Globe Puzzle
The Call of Cthulhu Globe Puzzle is in Charles Hawkins' office, in the Hawkins Manor during Chapter 3 of the game. You're chasing a suspect who flees into the office, and disappears. Here's how to get him.
He went behind the bookcase. Examine the scratches on the floor and Pierce will come to the same conclusion. The metal Globe in the corner of the room is the key to opening this door. Check it out, and you'll be able to move the pointer across the world. Clearly you have to have it at a specific point on the globe, but where?
The Seaway Map on the desk is important, but it has multiple locations on it that the fateful boat the Scylla sailed to. The Sailor's Logbook on the side also has numerous locations, and Pierce suggests there must be a connection. There is.
The Map has the location, and the Logbook has the coordinations. You're looking for the exact point where they caught their legendary catch, on Wednesday 23rd June 1847. It's in the centre of the Atlantic Ocean. If you want them direct:
33N, 53W
Pick that point on the globe, validate it, and the door will open!
Of course if you've got enough points in Strength, you can instead go to the side of the bookshelf, rip the panel off, and force it to open with either your hands or a crowbar. But where's the fun in that?
