Chivalry 2 launched exclusively on Epic Games Store back in June, but Torn Banner Studios sent across word today that it’s already reached 1 million sales across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
Torn Banner Studios says that it’s the fastest-selling game it has ever released, and so wanted to celebrate by providing some stats achieved by players since Chivalry 2 launched on the 8th June, 2021.
420 million knights have been mortally wounded in combat, while the Officer is the most played subclass amongst players, and the Messer is the weapon of choice. 8 million hours have been clocked in combat so far.
“Despite just launching in June, over a million people across five platforms have already played Chivalry 2, which tells us how much more potential the game has to grow,” said Steve Piggott, President of Torn Banner Studios. “We are so happy to have brought Chivalry 2’s unique experience of bloody, epic medieval warfare to so many people - and we’re already hard at work expanding the game much, much more.”
“We’ve been blown away by the response from players and critics alike, and the team is already hard at work on more great free content and adding highly requested features such as cross-platform parties.” added John Gibson, Tripwire CEO, the company that’s responsible for publishing Chivalry 2.
