Code Vein is out now, and one of the neatest things about it is that - unlike fellow Souls-like The Surge 2 - it has the option for co-op multiplayer, which is excellent. The big question now is, then - is there Code Vein cross platform play?
Code Vein is available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, so you would hope that players across all three platforms would be able to play together - especially as, unlike shooters, there are no obvious benefits to one platform over the other. So is there Code Vein cross play multiplayer? Let's have a look.
Is there Code Vein cross platform or cross-play multiplayer?
Cross-platform play between games is still a rarety these days, and as far as we're aware it's never happened in a Dark Souls-style game. Therefore it shouldn't come as any surprise, sad as it is, that there is no cross-platform play available for Code Vein.
While there is co-op multiplayer on offer, it is only available to Code Vein players on the platform they are playing on. PS4 owners can only play with PS4 owners, and the same goes for both Xbox and PC. Which is a shame, as at the very least, there is usually cross-platform play between Xbox and Windows 10 - Gears 5, for instance, supports both cross-play and cross-saving across PC and Xbox One, which is fantastic. It's just a shame Code Vein doesn't have any such functionality.
