Romance options are usually a big thing in games that focus on developing companionship between characters and on their camaraderie, and many are wondering if such a feature is available in Code Vein, too.
While some may have expected otherwise, it seems that Code Vein does not, in fact, have any romantic pursuits for players to opt into. Quite the opposite, this game’s companion characters are strictly platonic, far as we can tell.
Romantic Options in Code Vein
Now that we know that romance is a no-go in Code Vein, you might wonder what else is there to do with your wild bunch of companion characters. The answer is - lead them into combat. Alternatively, you could always spend some quality time with them in the headquarters’ sauna.
Code Vein is quite story-heavy, and you should expect for your companions to communicate with you on a moment-to-moment basis. While they won’t engage with you in any romantic fashion, you can cultivate friendships with them, and this can eventually result in them awarding you with unique items and weapons. It’s more mathematical than it might sound at first, but it does serve a gameplay purpose, if nothing else.
