As you surely know by now, Call of Duty: WWII is a thing nowadays, and as such, it exists. Jokes aside, even though the game's slipped from the attention of the general public for the most part, Call of Duty: WWII is still going strong as the latest community event - Covert Storm - aptly shows.
The Covert Storm event is a valid showcase of what Call of Duty: WWII is all about. It throws historical accuracy out the window, introduces brand new prototype firearms, and adds animated camouflages to the mixture. Yes, you read that right - animated camo.
There are three new firearms introduced to the game, to be more precise, two of which do seem to have some historical background to them, and these being the AS-44, and the VMG 1927. The Proto X-1 sub-machine gun is just odd, though. These are all fun little bastards, mind.
Aside from the new guns and camos, there's also the all-new Commando division, which is nice if you're into that sort of things.
Covert Storm kicked off on 4th of September and will be taking place until the 25th of September, so there ought to be plenty of time for you to get an annoyingly animated gun camo as well. If you're interested in hearing our thoughts on Call of Duty: WWII, we do have a review ready to go.
