Like many other online titles, free-to-play third-person shooter Crucible will rely on Seasons to keep its experience fresh throughout 2020. But when does Season 1 begin and Season 2 end?
With the game’s launch nearly here, here’s what we know about the start and end dates of Crucible’s Season 1 and Season 2
Crucible 2020 Season 1 and 2 Start and End Date
Crucible was confirmed to have Seasons by Relentless Studios’ Louis Castle, who also revealed, in an interview with GamesBeat, their expected length:
“We are actually doing seasons. That’s something we’re committed to. The first one is eight weeks. They’re roughly eight weeks. Sometimes they will be a little longer because of timing on the calendar. But we’re committed to seasons.”.
While the exact start and end dates of Crucible’s Season 1 and Season 2 weren’t revealed just yet, we can take a guess at when they might begin and end.
Crucible’s first 2020 Seasons didn’t kick off at launch. Instead, May 20 saw the start of the game’s first Pre-season.
This, likely, has a preparatory role as developer Relentless Studios ensures server stability and irons out remaining kinks.
According to the timer of its associated battle pass Crucible’s first Pre-season has 52 days and 12 hours left to go at the time of writing (May 21). This means that Crucible’s first pre-season ends on Monday, July 13.
Depending on whether or not there’s a break in between them, Crucible’s Season 1 could begin on or after July 13, ending at some point in early-to-mid September.
Leading on from there, Crucible’s Season 2 could begin at some point in or after mid-September, again, depending on whether or not there will be breaks in between Seasons.
With Crucible’s first Pre-season now in full swing, we’ll likely learn more about the exact start and end dates of Season 1 and Season 2 as they draw nearer. We’ll be sure to update this article with any new info.
