Curse of the Dead Gods is a skill-based roguelike from publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Passtech Games that’s recently entered Steam Early Access. In it, players take on the role of an adventurer seeking untold riches, eternal life and divine powers in a cursed temple filled with danger and Aztec-inspired imagery. As you progress, you’ll find weapons and relics to aid you in your journey but you’ll also become more Corrupted.
Delving deeper and getting hit also increases your level of Corruption which, in turn, applies various curses that act as double-edged swords, players being able to use them to their advantage while looking out for their negative effects. Curse of the Dead Gods launched in Early Access with 10+ curses, 30+ unique rooms and more, and plans to expand on its existing content being in updates further down the line.
