Swedish studio The Outsiders have ceased development on their debut game, Darkborn. The project - previously known as Project Wight - was being published by Take-Two’s Private Division.
Darkborn had an interesting premise, what it would be like to be a hunted monster, capable of great strength but on the run nonetheless. This captured people’s imaginations and the news came as a blow to many.
What Was Darkborn?
The announcement was made by the studio on Twitter, and despite the obvious sadness in the tone, also includes a teaser for a new game on the horizon. Apparently it’s already being worked on and if it’s as innovative as Darkborn, it could end up being something special.
