With Dauntless now out of open beta, a multitude of earger players are flocking towards the free-to-play Monster Hunter-like. However, an infinite loading screen bug is stopping a portion of the playerbase from actually playing the game.
Here’s everything we know about the Dauntless stuck loading screen bug and whether or not there currently is a way to fix it.
Dauntless Stuck Loading Screen

While the Dauntless stuck loading screen can pop up at other times, such as when confirming a Platinum purchase, the majority of players are reporting the issue appearing as they try to leave the character creation screen.
What makes the loading screen even more annoying is the fact that your character creation session isn’t saved, given how force quitting seems to be the only way to exit the game at that point.
Dauntless developer Phoenix Labs has yet to mention a fix for the bug, however it’s most likely aware of the issue, as players have been posting it in many places, including the bug megathread over on Reddit.
While we wait for an official fix from Dauntless developer Phoenix Labs , a less-than-ideal workaround that has worked for some involves simply restarting the game and going through the process of creating a characters several times. After a while, you’ll no longer get stuck at a loading screen, being able to freely hunt those imposing beasts.
