Dead By Daylight will soon kick off this its 2019 Lunar New Year event. Called Moonrise, it’s scheduled to start on January 30 and last until February 13.
In terms of format, Moonrise will be similar to the 2018 Lunar New Year event, Howling Grounds.
When does the Dead By Daylight's Moonrise Lunar Event Start?
<p>
During Dead By Daylight’s 2019 Lunar New Year Event, Trials will start with Lunar Vessels scattered across the map. While Survivors need to find and escape with them, Killers need to destroy them. In order for the Lunar Vessels to be destroyed, however, Killers have to first hook a Survivor, which will render the Vessels corrupted and destructible for a period of time, while moving those carried by Survivors back to where they spawned.
The number of available Lunar Vessels can be increased by burning the Red Envelope offering, capping at a maximum of 7 Vessels. Survivors get 4 points for each repaired generator, and 20 points for each Lunar Vessel they escape with. Killers gain 1 point for each hooked Survivor and 3 points for destroying a Lunar Vessel after it’s corrupted.
Completing either of these earns players points which yield Golden Coins, the 2019 Lunar New Year event’s temporary currency. Golden Coins can be spent on 9 new cosmetic items, which make up three full sets for The Huntress, Ace Visconti and Feng Min.
Players will have a few days to spend their Golden Coins after the end of the Moonrise event, after which the Lunar New Year-themed items will remain on the store, purchasable using Auric Cells.
