What does the Dead by Daylight globe icon mean? What is the reason behind it appearing next to some players’ names?
Dead by Daylight’s globe icon has been popping up for a while now, seemingly having no effect whatsoever on gameplay. This has lead players to wondering about what it means.
The answer to that question is simple, as the Dead by Daylight globe icon is tied to the game’s crossplay feature, which developer Behaviour Interactive has tested for quite some time.
Dead by Daylight Globe Icon
In the past, encountering the Dead by Daylight globe icon meant you were playing alongside a player on the Windows Store if you were on Steam or vice versa.
Since crossplay has now been implemented across all platforms, you’re likely to encounter the Dead by Daylight globe icon quite a bit more since PC and console players now have the option of playing together.
Dead by Daylight’s globe icon has no effect on gameplay, from what we can tell, being just a handy indicator that lets you know you’re in a multiplatform lobby.
